Frequently Asked Questions

How do I let you know when I need alterations in my paper delivery or if there's a problem with delivery?

You are welcome to email us at crystalcleardelivery@hotmail.com, or call the office phone at (540) 743-4660.  The last thing we do before delivering each night/morning is check the voice messages just in case you had to head out of town on a moments notice and need your paper stopped.

Who do I call with billing questions?

For customers who pay directly to the Washington Post
We have no access to the money end of your accounts.  You MUST call the Washington Post customer service.  I am glad that so many of you took the Post up on their 1-year lock in offer.  Unfortunately, they are still having problems geting everything set up correctly, and I have been assured by the Post that everyone's account will be adjusted as soon as possible.  I have had several meetings with them to help this process and am in contact with them almost daily to assist where I can.

If I pay my bill to Crystal Clear Delivery, what is the due date?

We are billing on a 4 week cycle and we hold off until the end of the 4 weeks so that you are paying for services received.  We choose NOT to put a due date on the bills only because we feel there are enough people i.e. telephone company, electric company, enforcing a date for discontinuing service.  We are attempting to be "User Friendly" as we are indeed just one of your neighbors.  Our goal is simply to receive the payment back before the next billing cycle.

We are in the process of switching to an electronic billing system purchased though the Post that gives us the option of letting you pay 8 or 12 weeks at a time.  If you wish to switch to a less frequent billing period, please contact us directly by email or phone and we will happily accommodate you.

If I'm going on vacation, how do I communicate exactly when I want my paper and when I don't?

Let's say your leaving on December 15th and returning on December 27th.  That brings questions into play on both ends.  Are we supposed to deliver on the 15th or not?  Do we start back on the 27th or 28th.  A great way to resolve this so that you receive the exact service you would like is to state, "I want my last paper on the 15th, and my first paper back on the 28th."  As always, if there are alterations in plans, please just give us a call or send an email.

Feel free to contact us at any time.
